| Independent Contractor Employee Criteria |
Thank you, for expressing your interest in joining Arnold Bros. Transport Ltd. We are a federally regulated motor carrier that operates principally in Canada and the United States of America, therefore applicants are required to observe the following regulatory criteria to be eligible for employment or contract with our organization.

In order for Arnold Bros. Transport Ltd. to best serve the interest of our customers, existing drivers and the public, our winning team members also provide the following: |
|
|
All applicants must have a minimum of one year (12 months) and/or 100,000 miles of verifiable over the road experience operating a tractor-trailer unit, in the division applied for. |
|
|
|
Acceptable applicants commercial drivers abstracts will contain no more than four moving violations in the previous two years or three moving violations in any one year. |
|
|
|
Applicants that present commercial driver’s abstracts containing suspension of driving privileges for any reason are limited to a maximum of one (1) suspension within the last five (5) years in order to be considered for employment. Arnold Bros reserves the right to review severity of violations. |
|
|
|
Applicants with convictions for DUI, reckless driving (MB), dangerous or careless driving criminal code convictions, or major preventable accidents within the past five (5) years will not be considered for employment. |
|
|
|
Our corporation abides by our “zero tolerance” standards relating to drug and/or alcohol abuse, subsequently a drug testing is required prior to being hired, and our drivers are subject to random testing. If you have a history of drug or alcohol abuse, or have recently used drugs, you will not be considered for employment. |
|
|
|
Applicants presenting a criminal record search document containing convictions that are not “waivable or pardonable” by the United States of America will not be considered for long haul employment. |
|
|
|
All applicants must be physically able to perform the job requirements including but not limited to lifting articles approximately 50 lbs., possibly on a repetitive basis, as required by our customers. |
|
|
|
In order to get you home, as per our standards, company drivers cannot reside more than one hundred fifty (150) miles from an Arnold Bros Transport Ltd functional terminal facility, namely: Langley, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, Brandon, Winnipeg and Milton. There are no residence restrictions for owner operators. |

All independent contractor applicant tractor unit(s) must not be older than seven (7) model years old, with a maximum weight of 19,800 lbs (fully fuelled, equipped and with driver(s) on board, and are certified to meet all jurisdictional safety requirements (valid safety certificate) |
|
|
|
All independent contractor applicants may be subject to credit history checks. |
