Arnold Bros. Transport Ltd. is seeking an experienced Director, Driver Engagement to join our Leadership Team. This opportunity reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is ideal for a leader who is energized about creating an engaging experience for our valued Drivers. As a leader, the Director, Driver Engagement will influence meaningful change, open communications, improve performance and foster a culture of trust and safety.
The Director, Driver Engagement is primarily accountable creating an exceptional Driver experience and enabling Driver performance through engagement and retention programs, performance management, training, communications, recognition and equipment assignment.
Key Responsibilities include:

Meaningfully differentiates the ABT Driver experience in the Transportation industry.

Design and implement programs and communications that connect, enable, and engage Drivers.

Design, implement and sustain ABT's Driver performance management program

Contributes to the development of compensation frameworks that recognize driver performance and ensures external competitiveness and internal equity.

Delivers and sustains regular Driver recognition programs that celebrate Driver safety, customer service and operational performance.

Creates two-way driver communications that informs drivers of company and operational news and provides an opportunity for the Drivers' voice to be heard and engaged.

Works closely with the ABT Academy and Safety & Compliance to design and deliver training and development programs that enhance Driver safety and performance.

Delivers and engaging Driver onboarding experience.

Oversees efficient and timely Driver equipment Assignment.

Works closely with Operations to actively manage the Driver workforce.

Participates with the Leadership Team to develop and implement the strategic plan.

Develop and effectively manages the Driver Engagement budget.

Develop and sustain strong working relationships with external governing bodies and associations.
The successful candidate will have:

10 years of progressive and related experience - Transportation industry experience is an asset.

Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated focus on delivering high value and experience to clients.

Ability to effectively manage and deliver multiple competing priorities.

Experience developing high performance teams.
