Working closely with other members of the maintenance team in Winnipeg, the Truck Technician plays a key role in ensuring our fleet remains in excellent working condition. This will involve ongoing maintenance, diagnosis and repair of company highway trucks and equipment. This role requires an inquisitive problem solver, someone who is not afraid of taking ownership of a project, and focused on ensuring that our equipment is safe for our Operators to use.

Please note that the hours for this position will be 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, Saturdays to Tuesdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general inspections (PM and MGSI), repairs, technical diagnostics and installations of all systems
  • Inspections of cab interior/exterior, air brake system, underbody, engine and electrical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance service work in accordance with maintenance schedule
  • Follow and promote Safety Guidelines, SOPs, and best practices
  • Provide accurate and clear work orders

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • An energetic and positive personality
  • A strong commitment to safety and continuous learning
  • A collaborative, motivated self-starter who takes pride in their work
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • 3 years of relevant experience & MGSI Certification is preferred
  • MOPIA Certification is considered an asset
