Mentor Programs
Please be clear on whether you are part of a program or not. Depending on what you are participating in designates the paperwork needed and the process to be followed.
If you would like to submit an application for the Manitoba Government Job & Skills Development Program please submit
- Copy of your current Driver's Abstract
- Copy of your approval letter from the Manitoba Job & Skills Development Program
- Copy of your current Criminal Record Search
- Copy of your border crossing documents (US Visa, Passport, FAST card, etc)
- Copy of either your birth certificate, Permanent Residency Card, or Canadian Citizenship Card
- Copy of a resume
If you would like to submit an application for the Mentor Program please submit
- Copy of your current Driver's Abstract
- Copy of your current Criminal Record Search
- Copy of your border crossing documents (US Visa, Passport, FAST card, etc)
- Copy of your driver's license (front & back)
- Copy of either your birth certificate, Permanent Residency Card, or Canadian Citizenship card
- Copy of the Class 1 training completion certificate with the number of hours listed on it
- An Application
Mentor Program Requirements
- Must be 21 and hold a valid Class 1 license
- Must be eligible to drive in USA and have border crossing documentation
- Must be FAST card eligible
- Must have attended an accredited Class 1 Driving School with a minimum of 240 training hours
Documentation to be provided with an application
- Copy of your valid Class 1 driver's license (front & back)
- Copy of a current Commercial Vehicle Abstract & CVOR
- Copy of a current Criminal Record Search or FAST card (front & back)
- Copy of proof of citizenship (Birth Certificate, Permanent Residency Card, or Canadian Citizenship)
- Border Crossing documents
- Copy of your Class 1 Training School certificate including total training hours
Application Process
- Submit your application with the appropriate documents
- Verification of Class 1 experience
- Road Test
- Pre-employment Drug Test
- Orientation
Orientation covers various company policies, includes a tour of the terminal and facilities, and includes presentations and testing on Hours of Service, FMCSR Regulations, and Dangerous Goods. Elog training is also done around orientation. Orientation locations are Milton, ON and Winnipeg, MB terminals.
